Wolves vs Chelsea – Premier League preview: Prediction, odds, how to watch on TV and live stream
Chelsea will wonder how they are 10 points behind City already this season. They can reduce the gap down to seven with a win at Molineux, but 31 points at this stage of any other campaign would have Chelsea much closer to the top.
As it stands, the Blues’ objective is going to be to fend off Arsenal and Tottenham below them to ensure Champions League football is back at the Bridge next season.
Four defeats in their last five games is a surprise for Wolves who have a wealth of talent in their squad. Even more surprising was the consecutive defeats against Huddersfield and fellow promoted side Cardiff City; both showed Nuno Espirito Santo’s side that no game can be taken for granted. They now go up against Chelsea without playmaker Ruben Neves who is suspended after picking up five yellow cards this season.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The midfielder has struggled for game time this season, but he has seized the rare opportunities he’s been given, including a goal off the bench against Fulham on Sunday. It wouldn’t be a surprise if he’s given a start in this game given the run of midweek matches over the Christmas period, and he will be looking to prove he can produce from the start.
